Monash Photography Club hosted another basic workshop for MONSU on the mid week social night event this wednesday. It was attended by around 25 people. Most of the students were MPC members plus several non MPC and some Monash staff. It went just like our basic workshop two weeks ago. Awesome! Now let us see some photos taken by them.

Backlight experiment. Might be improved by using fill flash.
Playing with rule of third and perspective. the shooter was standing up the stairs. plus the hand act as a frame for the face.
Mr Ken explains about DoF, spot metering, and lighting
Magnificent example of frame use. My favorite photo of the day
another good example of frame and RoT
Amazing perspective. The statue looks like its going to stomp the camera
Very good DoF, and very unique image for the workshop where everybody goes shooting outside, this lady actually tries to shoot indoor. Very creative.
Pathway to the sun! excellent image! the photo was underexposed by two stops (-2 eV) to show only the highlighted area and the sun.
Very interesting perspective and lighting. Love the shadow direction too.
Good example of capturing unique moment. She wanted to try a perspective shot, so i posed for her. But unknowingly, somebody took a picture of us doing those weird thing! haha
This image is almost symetrical which add to the overall composition. Also notice the sense of movement and the low perspective.
Nice shadows, shilouete and notice that the land occupy one third of the image while the sky occupy the other two third. This is another application of the rule of third.
Bell of a bicycle. Awesome DoF. Nuff' said :p
My second favorite shot of the day. Somehow the color recorded as sepia-like instead of highlights. A really good symetry shot while the shadow act as dividing line.
Creative framing! if you can't find a natural frame, why dont make it yourself!
creepy shadow, awesome pattern and contrast!
The tree branches act as really good leading lines, while the person is put on intersections. I like the lighting in this shot
An example of panning.
Frame! although this image could be much better if the person is put into the intersection.
Alright, that was the highlight images of the day. The most important thing is everybody had fun while learning!
If you still have any other image you wanted to show, please let me know. Cheers.
