Photo Gallery: Gothic Experimental

Hey Guys, its been quite some time since I last posted my photos! Things have been crazy for me lately, and now lets get back to business!

Location: St Kilda Adventure Playground (Melbourne, Australia)
Model: 2 Lovely Ladies with their own makeups
Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: 80-200 f2.8
Flash: SB-600 and SB-900 triggered remotely using D80 native commander mode
Weather: Dark, Gloomy, heck it even rained during the shoot!
Interesting thing: We got told by the playground keeper to tone down the “sexiness” of the pose because of children running around there are looking at us :p

  • These are moody and eye-catching. The girls have too much mascara under their eyes though... in some shots they look awfully tired because of it.
  • isn't that the point here my friend? make em look suicidal and tired of life :p
  • Lightroom processing really turns the already nice pictures into something, like you said, gothic. I wonder if the same effect can be achieved using Photoshop.
  • Thanks Jason.
IMO, since lightroom is a subset of photoshop (well, not really) so i reckon it will be achievable. Just maybe takes longer time to edit.
