You know, I rarely post about other photographer. The first one I did was about Yann Arthus bertrand.

As I met and interact with more and more photographers, I’m planning to make a series of review and recommendations on this subject.

Okay, the lucky number one is: Mr. Teddy Tan

Who is he?

I met Teddy at Monash Photography Club (MPC) last year. He is a pretty quiet man. As we talked online and offline, I notice that he makes really good photos. He really is the type of do more action than talk, and I like this type. Turned out that he is a Pro wedding photographer for a long time. His work is very creative and awe-inspiring.

The main think that makes him really credible is that, one time he was renting one of my flash for a wedding on the weekend. Somehow he broke my flash during that event. After coming to meet me afterwards, he just apologize and paid me the full price of a new flash even though that flash is quite old. No excuses. No bullshit. Awesome.

Why should you care?

I didn’t really care too, until yesterday. He posted a note on facebook showing his last photoshoot for ‘Lamaan Couture‘ product line. It was awesome. Just take a look at the photo below this paragraph. It looked so studio-ish that I thought he was using a seamless white background (like the one I use in my studio). Turns out he shot it in a house, using the floor and curtain only. Now thats creative.

And I have all the respect in the world for genuinely creative people.
